Create Better Neon Text With GIMP

In this GIMP tutorial, I show you how to create a better neon text effect using all built-in tools! Make your text look like neon tubes, plus add realistic lighting effects and have your neon text interact with a brick wall. This technique requires several steps, but is surprisingly easy and beginner-friendly! Learn how to work with paths, text, blur filters, and layer modes in this awesome tutorial.

GIMP is a free photo editor, most similar to Photoshop, that can also be used for graphic design projects like this one. It is “free and open source,” and developed by a community of volunteer developers.
