Krita recently released the historic Krita 5.0 free digital painting app with tons of new features. One of the many things you can do in this latest version is change the theme colors of your workspace or user interface. I’ll quickly show you how to do just that in this Krita help article.

All you need to do is go to Settings>Themes, and you’ll see a selection of several theme options. In the image, I have my theme set to “Breeze Dark.” You can click on any of the available theme options to test out the color schemes until you find the one you like.
Krita comes with dark themes and light themes by default, with variation in the icon, text, canvas, menu, and hover or highlight colors. Below are all the available color schemes for Krita on Windows.
Breeze Dark

Breeze High Contrast

Breeze Light

Krita blender

Krita bright

Krita dark

Krita Darker

Krita neutral

That’s it! Changing the Krita theme colors in Krita 5.0 is really simple. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! Don’t forget to check out my other tutorials, including video tutorials and help articles, covering a variety of free software over on the Davies Media Design home page.
