In this article, I’ll show you how to quickly change the language your Inkscape displays (despite the language set on your operating system).
Open Preferences

With Inkscape open, start by navigating to the Preferences dialog by using the icon in the Inkscape Commands Bar or by going to Edit>Preferences.
Change Language Setting Under “Interface”

With the Preferences dialog window open, click on the category labeled “Interface” along the left hand side of the window.
The first dropdown under the Interface section is labeled “Language.” Here, you can click the dropdown and select your desired language for Inskcape.
Close and Reopen Inkscape

On the right hand side of the language dropdown you’ll see a little power icon. If you hover your mouse over it, you’ll see this indicates that in order for your changes to take effect, you must close and reopen Inkscape.
So, exit out of the Preferences window as well as Inkscape by clicking the X in the upper right corner of each window. Then, reopen Inkscape.
Your new language should now be set!
